FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Strategic Markets free to use?
Yes. Portfolio simulation, risk and performance analytics, the AI assistant, the community, and the Learn path are all free today — see the Pricing page for details.
Is this real investment advice?
No. Strategic Markets is an educational platform, not a licensed financial advisor. Every AI response and every risk metric is framed as educational analysis, never as a personalized recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. See the Disclaimer for the full regulatory notice.
What markets/assets does it cover?
Stocks, ETFs, bonds, commodities, crypto, REITs, and FX, priced with live market data from Finnhub and Yahoo Finance.
How does the AI assistant work?
It's a large-language-model assistant (with an automatic fallback provider if the primary one is unavailable) that's given a snapshot of your simulated portfolio as context. It's built with hard compliance guardrails — enforced server-side, so they can't be bypassed by a clever prompt — that keep every response educational: no personalized recommendations, no telling you to buy or sell a specific instrument, and every answer ends with a clear disclaimer.
Is my data secure?
Your account and portfolio data are stored with Supabase, protected by row-level security so only you can access your own data, and encrypted in transit. Strategic Markets never connects to a real brokerage account or handles real financial credentials. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
Can I share my portfolio with the community?
Yes. You can post to the community with a snapshot of your simulated portfolio attached, organize discussions into topic channels, and get notified when someone replies — entirely optional, and never required to use the rest of the app.
